Our team of Speech Pathologist are specialised in providing assessments, diagnosis, interventions, and management for people with communication disorders and/or swallowing difficulties.
Communication disorders, including difficulty with speech, listening, understanding language, reading, writing and social skills, may be due to a range of conditions including:
Developmental delays
Stroke or other brain injuries
Learning and intellectual disability
Dementia
Hearing Loss
Other problems that can affect speech and language.
Providing different strategies for communication, or using alternative communication devices
Teaching a person how to swallow safely
Helping young children or adults with speech difficulties or experiencing difficulties understanding others
Providing adaptive and safe strategies for clients and/or family and carers with feeding and swallowing
Helping clients with voice disorders (e.g. pitch, voice quality) and speech fluency
